1996/3/10 COCO Places to Talk With People At Rest

(dream) I've come to a Japanese inn in the countryside and am gazing at mountains out the window. The inn is at the base of a mountain slope. An older man, somebody's acquaintance or my father, comes to inform me about "Two Rest Spots." In order to speak with people who are in deep sleep, normally not dead but comatose, one must go to these two spots. The announcement talks about these two rest spots being at such and such a prefecture, in such and such a town. Both places are over abundant in nature and extremely difficult to get to. (The end.)

I seem to have the sense that places in the countryside abounding in nature are close to heaven. In the past, when I visited Kamikochi, (in the Japan Alps) I remember thinking that this must be a stop on the way to heaven.
