1996/4/12 COCO Startling Apes

(dream) I am watching a wildlife program on TV. They say that in order to observe nature, one must surrender to natural phenomena. With that, they float a special camera down a river and film the flow. In the process of viewing the film I (we?) get washed away by the water. It's a bit frightening. It goes through rapids and waterfalls, however, gradually the water turns into a drove of apes. A path snakes up a green hill, which we travel along at the speed of the river's flow. It is nighttime, but the scenery is clearly visible. Perhaps it is a full moon?
Next the television program performs an experiment with apes, in which a masked human being mingles with apes and tries to startle them. A person in a suit donning a strange mask goes in among a drove of apes, but the apes flee at an amazing speed. I, too, thought the masked person was unbearably ghastly but should I try to flee I couldn't do it at ape speed. Chasing a human would be of no use, so he didn't dare come in pursuit. (Nevertheless I was awakened by the gruesomeness.)

Somehow this weird animal TV program was previously televised in "Squirrel-snake.".
