Bio:


LEE Ka-sing, born in Hong Kong. Started working as a professional photographer from the late seventies.
He has received numerous overseas and local awards and was chosen as Photographer of the Year in 1989 by the Hong Kong Artist's Guild.
He participates in many art exhibitions both in Hong Kong and abroad, including"Asian Views", Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, "New Images form Hong Kong", Tower Gallery in Yokohama, SIGGraph in Los Angeles and recently a solo at Artspeak Gallery in Vancouver.

From 1994-96 he was the president of Hong Kong Institute of Professional Photographers. He is the international advisor of Fotofeis, festival of photography in Scotland. Early this year, he was invited to Tokyo for the judging of "New Cosmos of Photography" with Nobuyoshi Araki, Kotaro Iizawa and Fumio Nanjo.

In earlier 1992, Lee Ka-sing published Dislocation, a monthly publication on Hong Kong contemporary photography, he also acting as the editor-in-chief.
This publication documents and influences the boom development of the Hong Kong contemporary photography in the nineties. More than 250 photographers and writers have been published in this publication in the past 5 years.

Lee Ka-sing is now working on the development of the OP fotogallery. OP is the first of its kind in Hong Kong, offering a venue for contemporary and vintagephotography.
It came into being as the natural outgrowth of The Original Photograph Club, which was founded by Lee in 1994. The Club's main aim is to encourage and to promote the practice of collecting photographs in a wide spectrum, and it is totally devoted to photography as art.
The Club launched it OP Editions limited edition fine prints- works by photographers from Hong Kong and China as well as aboard, including such countries as Japan, Singapore, USA,Canada and France.

To enhance this concept, a publication "OP Editions" has been produced quarterlyby which public can order photographs on a mail-order network.
This publication has been circulated internationally in cities like London, New York and Tokyo.
