Cow And The Colour of Blue /Holly Lee1997,02,12

Comment:

Generally people have two impressions of cows: good/evil, tame/wild.
TheChinese have the famous story "The adventure to The West" in which one episode describes an evil cow-emperor with his wife Princess "Iron Fan",together they ruled the Kingdom of the Mountain of Fire.
In western fairytale we have Beauty and the Beast. The cow again, plays a bad role in ahalf-human half-beast character. Both describe the strong and dark forcepossessed by these creatures. Yet on the another hand, cows are so tame.
They work hard and humble in the fields despite all weathers. That is why the Chinese have generated beautiful folklores like the cowherd and the seamstress that keep facinating people for centuries.
The westerners love steaks. They eat steaks measured 2 inches thick. TheJapanese produce Kobe steak and their cows are brought up by drinking beer.
Now what should I say. What makes the cows go mad with their brains and that they need to be slaughtered in large numbers for that same reason?
Crazy cows!
Men eat cows and does that mean men don't love animals? How do we disdinquish a cow from an apple? Is it more kind-hearted to eat crows thanapples?
I try very hard to recall whether I have ever eaten beef with the quantity that is equivalent to one cow. Grandma used to chop and steam the beef for us children but I often ate a small amount. I have also eaten ox tail,
ox sinew, and Macdonald's hamburgers. That must have made up to one or two cows? If you ask me what I would like to be in my next life. I think I would like to be the green grass. Yes, perhpas a big lawn to provide the cows big feasts.
